Department of Cyber Forensic offers comprehensive academic programs structured to train students in digital forensic, with a strong emphasis on practical application, scientific analysis, and investigative techniques.
Department offers comprehensive range of courses, from the fundamentals of cyber forensic, cyber security and cyber law to advanced topics in network forensics, malware analysis, and digital investigations.
Department of Cyber Forensic structured all the courses at various level accordance with the vision outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes the integration of multidisciplinary learning, critical thinking, and the development of practical skills.
By adhering to the NEP 2020 framework, the curriculum also ensures inclusivity, digital literacy, and the development of various skills. The academic structure of the program incorporates flexibility, with opportunities for students to explore areas of specialization, interdisciplinary learning, and research.
The programs offered by the department aim to prepare students for careers in digital forensic laboratories, law enforcement agencies, judicial services, legal practices, and academic research, while contributing to the ethical practice of forensic science in India.

R&D in the Department of Cyber Forensics is pivotal in ensuring that students are prepared to deal with the evolving complexity of cybercrimes. Department is focused on developing new forensic tools, methodologies, and techniques with objective to improve investigation speeds, accuracy, and effectiveness while ensuring that digital evidence can be used in court to prosecute cybercriminals effectively.
Research work is contextualised by the collaborative research roadmaps and based across five pillars of activities; these are:

4) Incidence response and digital forensic workflow
