The PG Diploma in Cyber Forensic and Related Laws is designed with objective to deepen the understanding of the intersection between technology and the law. As digital landscapes evolve, the need for legal expertise in cyber forensics has become increasingly critical, necessitating a curriculum that addresses contemporary challenges in cyber law, cybercrime, and digital evidence.
This diploma program offers a comprehensive knowledge of the legal frameworks governing cyber activities and equipping professional and students with the knowledge to navigate complex issues such as data protection, digital contracts, and the legal implications of emerging technologies like blockchain and artificial intelligence.
The curriculum is designed to provide a robust foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of cyber law, ensuring that students are well-prepared to engage in policy making, law enforcement, and legal advisory roles. By focusing on the nuances of cyber forensic, including the investigation of cybercrimes and the handling of digital evidence, this program empowers law professionals to effectively address the legal challenges posed by rapid technological advancements.
Law professionals/Students will emerge as competent practitioners capable of contributing to the development of effective legal strategies and frameworks that safeguard individuals and organizations in an increasingly digital world.
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as science, computer science, law, or engineering with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from any recognized institute/University for General/OBC(NCL)/EWS category candidates, and 45 % for SC/ST/PwD Candidates.
Upon successful completion of the PG Diploma in Cyber Forensic and Related Laws, students will achieve the following outcomes:
1) Proficiency in investigating digital crimes and analyzing digital evidence, including data recovery, network analysis, and malware examination.
2) Comprehensive knowledge of legal frameworks and regulations governing cyber activities, including data protection, privacy laws, and cybercrime statutes.
3) Skills in the standard collection, preservation, and presentation of digital evidence to ensure its admissibility in court.
4) Insight into how cybercrimes impact legal proceedings and the ability to apply cyber forensic findings within legal contexts.
5) Competence in preparing and delivering expert testimony related to cyber forensic investigations.
6) Understanding of compliance requirements and risk management strategies related to cyber security and data protection.
7) Awareness of ethical issues in cyber forensic investigations and adherence to best practices in handling digital evidence and legal processes.
